Thank you all for coming to the service today. I need to make a small correction, the Celebration will not be held at the double tree hotel. It will be at the Antlers Hilton hotel in downtown colorado springs. It will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 in the evening. All people who have been touched in any small way by Ali are more than welcome to attend. this is a time of joy and celebration for my dad, and his achoevments not sadness. If you would like to speak at this event, bring me your best Ali stories and we will all share them. Thank you.

Services

Tomorrow morning starting at 10:00 we will bury my dad in the Persian fashion. if you would like to come, it will be at the Cemetery in Denver off of Hampden and Yosemite

On Thrsday there will be an event Called a Masque. that will be held at the islamic worship center on parker road.

On Saturday we will be celebrating his life in colorado springs at the Double Tree Hotel near the world arena in the Summit Ballroom. Please tell everyone to bring the people that Ali has touched. Bring Your Family, ther is no sadness here only joy and accomplshment.

At 11:27pm on monday the 13th of october. My father has joined the heavens. He looks down on us all and watches us for the time we might join him.

Monday

Sorry for the time between updates. We are still sitting with him, waiting. he is so strong. today is the tenth day since he has had any medication or sustenance. Thank you everyone for your continued prayers and support. As things happen I will pass that information on. Look here for a posting about his Celebration. If you would like to tell a a great Ali Story there let me know or post it on the site.

Moving

This Afternoon we will be moving my dad from the Hospital to another facility called The Porter Hospice. 5020 Arapahoe Road in Centennial, Colorado. He will hopefully be all settled in tonight around 5:00. Please call or e-mail me if you would like to stop by or need directions.

Wishes (Please Read And Share)

After having a meeting with my dads doctors and our family we have come to a point where we need to respect his wishes. after all of the tests and after all of the swelling has gone down they can talk about his chance for recovery. He has less than a five percent chance of any meaningful recovery. that means that the most he would never be able to care for himself or make any decisions that his previous life would require. He has talked to me and had wishes committed to his living will that if he cannot be the man I know to be my father that I, we would let him go. It now is time to respect his wishes. For those that are nearby and would like to visit him, e-mail me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. for those that cannot come here I will wish him your love and prayers as we ease his passing.
